If using fresh blueberries, rinse them thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt. If you opted for frozen blueberries, there's no need to wash them.
In a blender, combine the blueberries, ripe banana, Greek yogurt, honey, lemon juice, almond milk, and the zest of the lemon.
Blend the mixture on high speed until it transforms into a smooth and creamy texture. If you desire a thicker smoothie, add the handful of ice cubes and blend once more until your desired consistency is reached.
After blending, taste the smoothie. If it needs a touch more sweetness, add a little extra honey and blend again to incorporate.
When the smoothie is blended to your preference, pour it into two tall glasses.
For an appealing finish, optionally garnish each glass with a few whole blueberries and a light sprinkle of lemon zest on top.
